Time is something you think about every single day, multiple times throughout your day, even when you try not to think about it.
You make decisions based on time. You question if you have enough time. You try to control time. You feel like you cannot win when it comes to time. The truth is that every single day you lose time.
I have great news for you because there is a solution to your time issue. The only way to win regarding time, is to manage your time better.
Here are five steps to help you manage your time better:
1. Managing your time better actually starts when you prepare the night before the next day. This is the most important step.
Coaching question: When do you plan to start managing your time better?
2. Immediately after you eat your dinner, wash the dishes, and clean up your kitchen. This will save you time from having to clean dishes or counters in the morning before you prepare your coffee or breakfast.
Coaching question: How can you make sure your kitchen is clean every night after dinner?
3. Decide on the outfit and accessories you plan to wear the next day. Waiting until the morning to choose an outfit takes too much time, especially when you try on multiple outfits to find the perfect one.
Coaching question: What can you do to ensure that you choose your outfit in the evening?
4. Make a list of the things you need to accomplish the next day based on the time they need to be completed. Remember to cross each completed task off the list so you can see what you accomplished that day.
Coaching question: How much time will you need to create your To Do List each night?
5. Put your keys inside your purse in a designated location before you go to bed. This will save you time from having to look for them in the morning. You won’t have to ask yourself, “Where did I put my keys/purse”.
Coaching question: Where is the designated location you can put your purse before you go to bed every night?
Implementing these five steps on a consistent basis will not only save you time, but they will also help you start each day organized with a plan.
